Dear BHS Community,

As promised, we have follow-up information on how to help BHS student Jorge and his family with meals and rides to Lucile Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford. Jorge Munoz was diagnosed with leukemia 18 months ago and is currently undergoing a four-year course of chemotherapy and radiation treatments. In addition to going through a grueling medical ordeal, the family is suffering from dire financial difficulties.

Jorge's younger brother will be a bone marrow donor and Jorge will undergo a stem cell transplant.  He will be spending the next 3 months at Lucille Packard Children's Hospital and will then live at the Ronald McDonald house in Palo Alto for another 3 months.

We are asking for the BHS community to rally support for this family by either making monetary donations, donating gift cards in any amount to Safeway or Target, providing meals, and/or providing rides to Stanford Children's Hospital.

Please click on the link below and sign up with Lotsa Helping Hands to schedule help with rides, meals, or both. Immediate help is needed, so please don't hesitate if you are able to provide any support.  Other ways to help are to drop off Safeway or Target gift cards, cash, or checks (made payable to Jorge Munoz) with Vesna Vukic in the front office.

Thank you for your support!
